Hi, I’m Evan — a Sail Canada educator and coastal skipper. I’m moving my boat from Lake Ontario to the Caribbean to run our 5 star rated training program in the warm, clear waters of the Exumas this winter.
You will earn your sailing certifications, but the way we teach is designed for people who want to actually use their skills afterward. We mix the required curriculum with real time at the helm, clear decision-making frameworks, and the kind of scenarios you’ll face when you cruise on your own. The aim is for things to make sense in practice, not just on paper.
We keep classes small, use a modern boat, and build confidence through hands-on work rather than lectures. You leave certified and ready to apply what you learned — whether that means weekends at home, chartering abroad, or preparing for your own passage.
